|Scott Newton, Owner
Scott Newton is one of the owners of Port Allegany Pharmacy. Scott started his pharmacy career at the hometown when he was a stock boy at a local independent in his hometown of Warren, PA. From then on, he knew he wanted to be a pharmacist. Scott graduated with his PharmD from Duquesne University in 2002. Besides his passion for his pharmacy business, Scott also has a passion for hunting, adventure racing and sports in general. Scott is an avid runner and has run the Boston Marathon three times! Besides his business and hobbies, Scott treasures the time at home with his wife and two kids. The love and importance of family is why he sought after a family-owned business. He is proud to bring these values to the community of Port Allegany.
|Kelly Newton, Owner
Kelly Newton is one of the owners of Port Allegany Pharmacy. Kelly graduated from Mercyhurst College in 2000 with a Business Chemistry degree. She has over 10 years experience with sales and management. After having her second child, she and her husband, Scott, decided to venture into their own family business. A pharmacy seemed like the perfect fit with her husband as a pharmacist and Kelly as a business major. So she and Scott brought their faith and family-based values to the community of Port Allegany. Kelly wears many different hats at the pharmacy. Not only is she an owner and the office manager, but she also helps stock shelves, run the register and you may even see her behind the pharmacy counter. Another thing she aspires to do is to simply travel as much as she can. Kelly is always on the go. There’s no “free” day in Kelly’s world. She loves to live life and spend as much quality time with friends and family as she can. So don’t be surprised if you see her drive through town in a RV someday, off to her next destination, possibly a football game. Yep, one goal of hers and Scott’s is to watch a game in every NFL stadium!
|Jami Bonawitz, Pharmacy Technician
Jami was born and raised in the Port Allegany area and has been with the pharmacy for over 12 years. Having worked in various roles, Jami has done it all! Her family recently became the proud owners of a horse named Eddie, whom they enjoy spending their free time with. Jami loves to have fun, and you can always find her entertaining coworkers and customers with her random singing to the radio.

Denise Distrola was born and raised in Port Allegany. She resides there with her husband and three children. Denise is a student at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford where she is studying for a degree in Early Education. She loves being from a small town and living in this area of beautiful seasons. If she had free time she would be found with her family enjoying moments. She enjoys music and dancing to her own beat and singing just because. Denise loves to read and enjoys time and laughter with her family and friends. The people Denise looks up to the most are her mother and Mother Teresa.
|Jennifer Emerson, Front End Sales Merchandiser
Jennifer joined the Port Pharmacy family five years ago. Jenn is a brain cancer survivor, and feels blessed to be going strong today in good health.
At the pharmacy, you will see Jennifer helping to manage the front of the store with gifts, stocking shelves, and helping customers. You may even see her helping the girls in the pharmacy from time to time.
Jenn has two great children and is happily married to the love of her life She loves spending her down time with her family and friends, which is most important to her. Her family loves football, baseball, and softball. Watch out come football Sunday though, the Emerson home can be a hoot as they all root for different teams. But who doesn’t like the “my team is gonna beat your team” competition?! She wouldn’t want things any other way. Someday she would love to surprise her family with tickets to a NFL game.
|Annette Ford, Pharmacy Technician
Annette is pharmacy technician and has been with Port Pharmacy for nearly 30 years! She loves working with customers, some of whom she’s known as babies who have grown up and are now married with children of their own! Also as part of her long history here, she also has known many customers through the later part of their lives, whom she now misses terribly. Annette has always enjoyed being around the public, helping serve the people in the community talking and telling stories. Outside of the pharmacy, Annette enjoys working in the flower beds, grilling and swimming. When winter time comes around, that is when you can find Annette doing one of her favorite activities; sewing. She loves to make things for her grandkids. It gives her great satisfaction to make something and give it away.
|Tricia Roller, Pharmacy Technician
Tricia, who is often called Lynnie by closer friends and family, is currently the newest member of this dynamic team. She is a hard working, driven, single mother that will do anything possible for her kids. She is open-minded, compassionate, determined, competitive, strong and optimistic, sincere and modest, and driven by results. She loves the outdoors such as swimming, camping, fishing and hunting. She is a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and a big supporter of breast cancer awareness. She loves to ride the motorcycle and belting tunes in the car no matter how off key she is!
|Miki Theirman, Pharmacist
Miki Thierman is a Pharmacist at Port Allegany Pharmacy. She has been with Port Pharmacy for over a year. Miki graduated from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, snowboarding, watching Survivor, and spending time with her husband and two kids. One thing that Miki and her husband enjoy doing is trying out unique foods featured on TV shows such as “Man vs Food”. A few years ago, they went to Big Lou’s in San Antonio, Texas and ordered a 32” diameter pizza!
|Sandy Glase, Pharmacy Technician
Sandy is a Pharmacy Technician who really loves what she does! In addition to being a mother of 3 and grandmother of 5, Sandy is also a retired nurse. In her free time, Sandy enjoys traveling to visit family.
Dylan Kio, Pharmacy Intern
Dylan Kio is the pharmacy intern at Port Pharmacy. Dylan graduated from Port Allegany high school class of 2016. He attends Duquesne University, and will graduate in 2022. Dylan is an avid Pittsburgh fan.
